The Sussex Avenue Fiddlers began in 1978 in Ivan & Vivian's previous home in Riverview, NB, on Sussex Ave.
Originally all members were adults but as the years have gone by the group has grown to include many young fiddlers. Some of these youths have gone on to careers in music, proving that fiddle music is indeed ' alive and well'.
Recognizable in their traditional New Brunswick Tartan uniforms, they have made it a priority to preserve and promote traditional fiddle music as well as to support the continuity. They present their music locally , througout the Maritimes and internationally. Sit back and relax as you listen to this album filled iwth fiddle favourites as well as highlights of the various talents of our members. You may even find yourself in the middle of a kitchen party.
